Hope-Hub

With the completion of the Hope-Hub, we now have a small center in the barangay (village) of Tanglaw-Antipolo since October 2023. IN-HOPE serves 55 families in this community.

A small community center
The Hub features a small computer center for children who do not have access to a computer for completing their school work and projects. Thanks to the foresightful construction team who made optimum use of the available space, 7 workplaces with computers were installed. The Hub also includes a library, a safe space for counselling and follow-up of our families and a small office for our field worker Carlota.

With the Hub we want to serve the whole community and not only the families integrated in the IN-HOPE program. A supervisor is present during the fixed opening hours and can help the children when they have questions or run into technical problems. Children can use the computers against a small fee and it is our hope that the hub would be self-supporting after 6 months to one year.

Construction in 2023
The construction happened during the summer 2023 and was interrupted several times due to heavy rain. The computer equipment was installed in September. The official opening ceremony was on October 28. Leo, the head of our partner organization, attended the ceremony with several of his team members and in the presence of numerous IN-HOPE families. Rosalie, our liaison person in Manila, represented IN-HOPE.

A BIG thank you
We are thankful to all stakeholders who helped us plan, fund and implement this beautiful project.
